If you’re a fan of digging through viral campaigns, you’re about to be quite happy. The Jurassic World viral site has now officially launched, giving fans the opportunity to comb through the "official" website of InGen's new corporate owner for details about director Colin Trevorrow’s (Safety Not Guaranteed) film. The site is touted as belonging to Masrani, a telecommunications company that was established in 1973 by Sanjay Masrani, whose son Simon (Irrfan Khan) took over the company in 1992 after Sanjay’s passing. Simon expanded Masrani’s reach into the oil market leading to major revenue increase and, wouldn’t you know it, he purchased International Genetic Technologies (aka InGen) after the death of Dr. John Hammond in 1997. And what did Simon do with InGen? Well he set out to build a fully functioning Jurassic World on Isla Nublar, of course.
I’m sure there’s plenty more to be found on the viral site, but we’ve pulled some some of the more noteworthy images. Take a look after the jump. The pic also stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jake Johnson, Judy Greer, and Omar Sy. Jurassic World opens in theaters on June 12, 2015. [Update: There's a ticking clock on the website that counts down to 9pm ET on Thanksgiving, which happens to be during an NFL game on NBC, so that's likely when/where the first trailer will hit.]
Head over to the Jurassic World viral site and see what else you can discover. As with most viral campaigns, I’m sure there are more than a few reveals hidden in there somewhere.
