Another huge shakeup is happening for 20th Century Fox and Marvel’s adaptation of Gambit. According to THR Doug Liman is no longer directing the stand-alone movie about a New Orleans-based mutant with the power to manipulate kinetic energy. The fan-favorite mutant will be brought to life by Channing Tatum who, despite all the director changes, is still attached to star. But that won’t be Liman’s last shot at directing a comic-book adaptation. Over at Variety, a new report has him signed on for the long in development Justice League Dark adaptation for DC Films, now titled Dark Universe. Scott Rudin and Guillermo del Toro are producing with del Toro writing the most recent draft of the script.

We’ve come to learn a lot about Gareth Edwards’ Rogue One: A Star Wars Story over the last few weeks and now, Edwards’ has given us a little clarification to the one question most fans have lately and that’s the meaning behind the title. Speaking to Empire magazine, Edwards began with the most obvious reason: a call sign between pilots in the special Rogue squadron of the Rebellion. He then went on to say that the title also refers to the film being the odd-man-out in the Star Wars franchise and to Jyn herself. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theatres this December 16th.

According to a report from THR, Patrick Wilson and his Conjuring co-star Vera Farmiga, will join Liam Neeson in The Commuter, the latest action-thriller from Run All Night director Jaume Collet-Serra. The story centers on an insurance salesman played by Neeson, in the midst of his daily commute who is forced by a mysterious stranger played by Farmiga to uncover the identity of a passenger before the train’s last stop. Wilson will play the salesman’s trusted friend who helps him along the way. A release date has not been set.

THR is reporting that Lionsgate is developing an adaptation of The Monolith, the graphic novel series by Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti that centers on Alice Cohen, an ex-junkie who inherits a house in Brooklyn from her deceased grandmother where she discovers a diary that reveals the creation of a monster set on revenge for the slaying of a good man. Dave Wilson, who is the creative director of Deadpool helmer Tim Miller's production company Blur Studio, will make his directorial debut with a script by Barnett Brettler.

We already got our first Thor: Ragnarok set photos of Thor and Loki a few days ago, revealing the two brothers were Earthbound and in New York City. Now we can add another Asgardian as Anthony Hopkins’ Odin was recently spotted, looking to have gone full hobo. The image shows Odin either wearing a disguise or it’s a reveal that his character has been absolutely ruined, seeing as the ending in Thor: The Dark World left us with a major question as to what happened to his character. We are sure to find out more when Thor: Ragnarok hits theatres on November 3, 2017.

Indiewire reports Alicia Silverstone has joined the cast of the The Lobster director Yorgos Lanthimos latest film The Killing of a Sacred Deer, alongside Colin Farrell and Nicole Kidman. The story follows Farrell’s Steven, a charismatic surgeon forced to make an unthinkable sacrifice after his life starts to fall apart, when the behavior of a teenage boy he has taken under his wing turns sinister. Hey Collider! Best youtube channel!

My question for you: What movie would you have wanted to be a part of behind the scenes? You could watch how everything came to be from start to finish.

Mine would be without a doubt Lord of the Rings. Not only because I love the trilogy but since they didn’t shoot it in chronical order, I would get to be a part of the whole trilogy.

Thanks for taking my question. Greetings from Sweden.
