When you sit down to watch The Spy Who Dumped Me—an action-comedy top-lined by two very funny women, Kate McKinnon and Mila Kunis—you might be surprised that the opening scene is less jokes and more Justin Theroux kicking all kinds of ass, giving Tom Cruise a literal run for his money in a one-take, stunt-heavy piece that ends with an impressive leap from a window. But as the titular spy who does the dumping, that's just Theroux's role; he's both straight man and spy, and The Leftovers star wears both masks well, as is to be expected from a globetrotting secret agent.

Audrey (Mila Kunis) and Morgan (Kate McKinnon), two thirty-year-old best friends in Los Angeles, are thrust unexpectedly into an international conspiracy when Audrey’s ex-boyfriend shows up at their apartment with a team of deadly assassins on his trail. Surprising even themselves, the duo jump into action, on the run throughout Europe from assassins and a suspicious-but-charming British agent, as they hatch a plan to save the world.
