First up from Deadline is the news that Relativity will fully finance The Disappointments Room starring Beckinsale.  Caruso did the most recent draft of the script, which was inspired by a true event and tells the story of one family’s terror-filled encounter within their own home. Dana (Beckinsale) and David, together with their 5-year-old son Jeremy, are looking for a fresh start.  They move into their dream house, a beautiful old rural home, where they soon discover a secret room hidden within the attic.  "When frightening and unexplainable events lead Dana to discover the long lost key to this room, she accidentally unlocks a host of unimaginable horrors that reveal the house’s past is terrifyingly tied with her own."  The film is now expected to start shooting next month.

As for The Whole Truth, we now have our first official synopsis, which reads as follows:

Defense attorney Richard Ramsay (Reeves), faces a hopeless case defending seventeen-year old Mike Lassiter (Basso) who’s charged with murder. The evidence against him is substantial: a knife with his finger prints and a near confession. On top of that, Mike hasn’t spoken a word since the day of the crime. With no information from his client and little to work off of otherwise, Ramsay enlists the help of Janelle (Mbatha-Raw), a young lawyer determined to find out the truth about what happened that day.

Belushi plays Mike's father while Zellweger plays his mother.

Finally, Johnson will act as both the lead and executive producer in Forever, Interrupted.  The story centers on "a young woman who elopes after a whirlwind romance and then must face the sudden death of her adoring husband. She must come to terms with his loss while forming an unlikely relationship with his mother – who didn’t know she existed."  This news comes two weeks in advance of the first trailer for Sam Taylor-Johnson's Fifty Shades of Grey trailer, in which Johnson stars opposite Jamie Dornan.
