Opening this weekend is Focus Features It’s Kind of a Funny Story.  The film stars Keir Gilchrist as a stressed-out teenager who checks himself into a mental institution for five days and learns valuable life lessons while there.  The film co-stars Zach Galifianakis, Emma Roberts, Lauren Graham, Viola Davis, and Jim Gaffigan.

At this year's Toronto International Film Festival, I was able to speak with Keir Gilchrist about making the film, what it's like doing press at TIFF, what he recommends when in Toronto, working with Zach Galifianakis, how he prepared for the role, and a lot more.  Hit the jump to check out what he had to say:

Finally, you can watch the trailer here.
