Screen Daily reports that Kevin Bacon has just signed on to play "Jacques" in James Gunn's upcoming action-comedy flick Super Starring Rainn Wilson, Ellen Page, and Liv Tyler.  The character is described as "a smooth-talking drug dealer who steals the wife of an average guy played by Wilson, causing the latter to become a one-man crime-fighting force known as The Crimson Bolt."  When asked why he cast Bacon, Gunn said, "We need to love Jacques even while he's doing horrible things - Kevin is one of the only actors I know who can pull that off."  I personally love the idea of Kevin Bacon playing a supervillain in a comedy, especially against Rainn Wilson.  I'm also a bit surprised that Wilson, who provides serious comedic muscle to The Office, hasn't broken out the way Steve Carell and John Krasinski have.  As with most things, I blame The Last Mimzy.
