Saturday Night Live alumni Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids) and Bill Hader (Superbad) are set to reunite in The Skeleton Twins. The indie comedy, produced in part by Jay and Mark Duplass of Duplass Brothers Productions, will co-star Luke Wilson (Old School); Craig Johnson (True Adolescents) will direct from a script he co-wrote with BAFTA-nominated screenwriter, Mark Heyman (Black Swan).  The Skeleton Twins will team up the Adventureland duo as two estranged twins who reunite after cheating death and are forced to confront their pasts.  Hit the jump for more.

Variety reports that Wiig and Hader will star as twins Maggie and Milo; the part of Maggie was previously rumored to be going to Anna Faris.  When the brother and sister independently cheat death on the same day, they decide to get together and are forced to consider how their lives went so wrong.  For Maggie, this causes her to re-evaluate her marriage to "sweet nature frat boy," Lance (Wilson).  For her gay brother Milo, a visit is in order to his old flame, Rich, a former teacher with a past he'd rather forget.  As the bond between them grows stronger, they begin to realize that the answer to fixing their personal issues might lie in patching up their relationship with each other.

Wiig, who recently wrapped on Ben Stiller's The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, is currently filming the Liza Johnson indie,  Hateship, Friendship, with Guy Pearce, Nick Nolte and Hailee Steinfeld.  Hader's most recent feature was Men in Black 3 and he'll next appear on screen in Maggie Carey's The To Do List this coming Valentine's Day.
