In For A Good Time Call…, Lauren Miller stars as Lauren Powell – one half the odd-couple roommates who venture out into the phone sex trade.  Miller is the ‘Jack Lemmon’ of the duo: stuck-up, orderly, controlled – in stark contrast to Ari Graynor’s recklessly wild ‘Matthau’ Katie Steele.  As is often the case in films such as these, Lauren is much more wild and indelicate than even she realizes.  The film loosely based on Lauren’s actual relationship with co-writer Katie Anne Naylon, marks the actress/writer/producer’s first foray into narrative cinema.  Miller had previously cut her time with very bit roles in 50/50 and Observe and Report – but For A Good Time, Call… (an obvious labor of love for Miller), marks for all intensive purposes her big-screen debut.

In the following interview with Miller, she discusses the difficulties in getting a female-driven film made, the pressures of her first big feature and what type of genre projects she would like to work on in the future.  For the full interview, hit the jump.
