It’s been nearly a year since we shared the first image of Tom Hardy as Ronald and Reginald Kray, but now you can see the twin gangsters in action in the very first Legend trailer. The Brian Helgeland-directed film tells the true story of the identical twins who ruled the London crime scene in the 1950s and 1960s. While Hardy’s double performance is certainly the highlight of this trailer, the piece also does a stellar job of conveying a curious tone, putting an unusual pep to the Kray twins’ menace through some especially vibrant imagery set to the tune of Roy Orbison’s “Running Scared.”

You can check out the new Legend trailer for yourself below. The film also stars Emily Browning, David ThewlisChristopher EcclestonChazz Palminteri and Taron Egerton. (Why do I get the feeling that Egerton never would have scored that one shot in this trailer had it not been for Kingsman's success?) Legend is set to hit theaters in the UK on September 11th, but the film doesn’t have a US release date yet.
