Continuing "Warner Bros. Night of DC Entertainment," Geoff Johns moderated the panel for The CW's newest superhero series, DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Executive Producers Andrew Kreisberg, Phil Klemmer, Marc Guggenheim and Greg Berlanti were joined by stars Ciara Renee, Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Wentworth Miller, Caity Lotz, and Dominic Purcell to give fans an introduction to the upcoming show, one that will include time travel, resurrection, and reincarnation.
-
- Hawkman will also make an appearance, though he hasn’t been announced previously. The character previously appeared in live-action on Legends of the Superheroes and Smallville.
- Having been resurrected by the Lazarus pit, the White Canary will likely have some instability to deal with. Lotz: “I want her to go nuts, off the rocker, that’s my plan.”
- Heat Wave (Purcell) and Captain Cold (Miller) will probably be pretty pissed about joining the Legends, but they’ll do it grudgingly.
- On the subject of time travel, Vandal Savage (who will play a big part in the show), is an immortal who meets the Legends across time periods. The question of what happens if they end up altering timelines will also complicate things.
-
- Martin Stein (Garber) will get involved with the Legends as a mediator of the dysfunctional family, though he’s not always successful. Firestorm will still be part of the equation.
- Renee read through all the Hawkgirl comics supplied by Johns and company in order to prepare, in addition to doing boxing and martial arts training. She’s interested in exploring the reincarnation aspect of her character.
- Why a superhero team-up? Because of the success of Arrow and The Flash thanks to the passionate fanbase, and because of the talented people involved in front of and behind the camera, Legends of Tomorrow is a natural next step.
- Expect the White Canary to be the most dangerous member of the team since she has no fear of death.
