Yesterday brought the news that James Mangold's upcoming Wolverine movie, starring Hugh Jackman in the title role, would be titled simply, Logan. Now that's a bit off from "Old Man Logan", the Mark Millar and Steve McNiven story that serves as the film's inspiration, but it's great in its simplicity. The film sees a Logan who's "older now and it’s clear his abilities aren’t what they once were. He’s fading on the inside and his diminished healing factor keeps him in a constant state of chronic pain hence booze as a painkiller," as Mangold's script tease reveals.

But Logan's not the only aged hero appearing in this film. Mangold has revealed a new behind-the-scenes images that features Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier/Professor X, who's not looking like he's in the best of shape at this point. How exactly will he play into the plot? We'll find out when Logan arrives on March 3, 2017.

Here's what Stewart had to say recently about his upcoming reprisal, likely for the last time, of Professor X in Logan:

I can’t say because I don’t know, but I would imagine this is probably the end of this franchise for me. But the thing about science fiction and fantasy is that you can never, ever say it’s the end, it’s over.

But watch out! In March, I’m going to be back on the screen again. A very different Charles Xavier, that’s all I’m allowed to say. Nothing like the Charles Xavier you’ve seen in the past.
