Gramercy Pictures has released a new trailer for the action sequel London Has Fallen. Directed by Babak Najafi, the follow-up to the surprisingly successful gritty actioner Olympus Has Fallen finds Gerard Butler's Secret Service head accompanying the President of the United States (Aaron Eckhart) to the London funeral of the British Prime Minister, which just so happens to have been a set up to assassinate the U.S. President. Luckily Eckhart brought Butler along for the trip, who I'm sure will have no problem stabbing as many skulls as he can along the tube routes and cobbled streets of Londontown.

Check out the trailer below, via Gramercy Pictures, which gets the action going hard and fast complete with the destruction of London monuments galore. Also starring Morgan Freeman, Alon Moni Aboutboul, Angela Bassett, Robert Forster, Jackie Earle Haley, Melissa Leo, Radha Mitchell, Sean O’Bryan, Charlotte Riley and Waleed Zuaiter, London Has Fallen hits theaters March 4, 2016.

Here's the official synopsis for London Has Fallen:

The sequel to the worldwide smash hit “Olympus Has Fallen,” a non-stop, suspenseful action thriller that delivers high-octane excitement through a heightened sense of authenticity. The visceral intensity springs from a timely premise: after the British Prime Minister passes away, his funeral becomes a target of a terrorist organization to destroy some of the world’s most powerful leaders, devastate the British capital, and unleash a terrifying vision of the future. The only hope of stopping it rests on the shoulders of the President of the United States (Aaron Eckhart) and his formidable Secret Service head (Gerard Butler), and an English MI-6 agent (Charlotte Riley) who rightly trusts no one. Morgan Freeman also stars as the Vice President of the United States.
