Unlike other reality, dating shows the contestants on Love Is Blind don't actually get to physically see each other on their dates. Placed in "pods" they can only hear each other through a wall. The catch? If they want to see the person they are dating, once they have 'fallen in love' then they must propose. Successful couples then go on a retreat to Mexico before spending a week in an apartment together and then finally walking down the aisle.

It's True Love - Iyanna and Jarrette

Image of Lyanna and Jarrette from Love is Blind

Other than a slight hick-up in the pods, with Jarette proposing to Mallory first, Iyanna and Jarrette have been the unproblematic, super cute couple to root for this season. We see Iyanna getting ready for her big day telling the cameras how much she loves Jarrette for "his whole self". Jarratte arrives at the venue and in his confessional, says that he "loves Iyanna to the moon and back and to infinity and beyond" so things are looking promising.

It's time for the ceremony which Jarette's father is officiating. There are a lot of big smiles as Iyanna's father tells Jarrette to "be good to her and be the best man he can be". Iyanna recites her vowels telling Jarrette that "he was made for her, and she was made for him" and at this stage, there's not a dry eye in the house, even Jarrette's bachelor buds can't keep it together. Jarrette's father asks if "love is truly blind"? Jarrette is up first and his answer... "I do, I do, I do". Iyanna is up next, an anxious Jarrette stares at her while what feels like a million minutes go by before she finally says, "I do". Jarrette looks like he’s going to faint and this moment was worth binging the series for.

It's Love - Danielle and Nick

Danielle and Nick fell in love quickly in the pods and were engaged by the end of the first episode. It's been a rocky road for Danielle and Nick so far with some pretty hefty fights threatening to come between them, but nether the less they persisted and here we are on their wedding day. The big day starts with the pair arriving separately at the venue and both declaring their love for each other in their confessionals, cue ominous music. Danielle tells the cameras that last night Nick called her and said "I don't think you're ready, and I think that it's best for you if we don't do it." And that really sounds pretty clear, but Danielle tells the camera that she loves Nick more than anything and wants him to be her husband.

The moment is here and can somebody please get Nick a sweat towel because he could fill a bucket with the perspiration pouring from his face. Danielle looks beautiful walking down the aisle and doesn't seem to notice that Nick has just returned from the surface of the sun. Danielle completely ignores what Nick told her to do and says 'yes', now it's up to Nick whose decision shouldn't even be trusted at this stage. The poor sweaty man says 'I do' and they are united in actual holy legal matrimony. All jokes aside, Danielle and Nick are a cute couple with Nick being supportive and patient with Danielle who has been very open about her mental health struggles.

It's Self Love - Deepti and Shake

Image of Deepti and Shake from Love is Blind

Deepti and Shake got off to a rough start in the pods with Shake not so subtly trying to suss out her weight. However, Shake seemed to do some self-reflection, later apologizing to Deepti and starting fresh. He proposed to Deepti and was elated when he saw her for the first time. Things were going well until they got to Mexico when Shake quickly decided that he was no longer physically attracted to her. From there it was an uphill battle for the pair with Deepti patiently waiting for Shake to come around and Shake seeming happy to just work on their friendship and later confessing that the real problem was that Deepti reminded him of his aunt.

The day of the wedding arrives, Shake tells his groomsmen that he isn't "150 percent" sure that he wants to marry Deepti because he is not physically attracted to her. He then seems to have a huge epiphany that even though he is an only child he has realized that today isn't only about him, it is also about Deepti. We hear Deepti telling her bridesmaids that you have to compromise when it comes to love because you're never going to find a perfect person, and it all sounds a bit sad really. The ceremony begins, Deepti is up first, Shake looks at her nervously, she tells him that "she hopes he knows how much he means to her and the impact he had on her life... but 'no' she can not marry him, because she deserves someone who knows for sure. So she is choosing herself". This might be the best scene since Giannina slipped in her wedding dress. Shake who is obviously hurt assures the crowd that he is fine and instructs the musicians to play, because "this is a celebration guys", and just in case anyone was wondering he is honesty just really keen to "get back to his fitness routine and his reservation at Nobu on Sunday". Bullet dodged Deepti, bullet dodged.

It's Not Love - Mallory and Sal

Image of Mallory and Sal from Love is Blind

It has been a somewhat smooth if not boring journey for Mallory and Sal. Other than Jarrett proposing to Mallory first and some random girl showing up on Sal's sister's doorstep claiming to have been dating him when he left for filming, not a lot has happened for this couple, unless you include A LOT of ukulele serenading. The wedding day begins, and we hear Sal talking about how much he loves Mallory and how being with her has changed him. Sal is not sure if Mallory will reciprocate, and he’s clearly very bothered by the fact that her family isn’t fully on board with their relationship, of 28 days. Mallory, on the other hand, is genuinely surprised by her feelings for Sal and so are we because honestly, it doesn't seem like she's that into him. Mallory tells the cameras that "her parents and brothers haven’t made it today but her sister Tiffany is here" and oof Sal is not going to be happy.

The mariachi band plays as Mallory walks down the aisle. She recites her heart-felt vowels and seems to be genuinely in love with him which again, seems a bit out of the left field. It's time for Sal's decision, and he says he "can’t do it and feels like he just needs more time". In her final confessional we see that Mel is devastated by Sal's decision, which is still a little surprising. A final word from Sal and in less of a surprise he talks in swings and roundabouts, speaking a lot but actually saying nothing at all, he throws in a lot of buzz words like 'communication' and 'boundaries' but we have no idea what he is talking about, and this just needs to end, so we never have to see his ukulele again.

It's A Trainwreck - Natalie and Shayne

Image of Natalie and Shayne from Love is Blind

Natalie and Shayne hit it off right away in the pods, with Natalie telling Shayne he was her number one just days into the experiment. Things hit a snag when Shayne, unfortunately, confused Natalie's voice for Shaina's, the other woman he was connecting with at the time. However, the couple recovered, getting engaged almost straight after. Other than a few little hick-ups in Mexico when Shayne wasn't receiving enough compliments, the couple looked like the show's front-runners, with great chemistry and a shared sense of humor. The wedding day begins and Natalie is sobbing, telling the camera that last night she and Shayne had a big fight, and he said some "really hurtful things". Meanwhile, Shayne is telling his buds that "she just finds something wrong with everything he does". Natalie looks sad as she tells her bridesmaids how much she loves Shayne, but things are about to get a whole lot better because Don just entered the scene. Don is Natalie's father, and he is the best thing to happen to 'Love It Blind'. Don reassures Natalie that "everything is going to work out" and tells her that "of all the things he's done in his life being a dad is his greatest achievement", somebody hand us the tissues.

It's wedding time, Natalie is joined by Don who tells her to "speak from the heart" as they walk towards Shayne. Shayne's up first, it's a big 'yes' for him, the whole room breathes a collective sigh of relief. Natalie tells Shayne how glad she is that they've shared this journey together and how much they've grown but "I don't" she says, and whispers to him that she still loves him, but they have big issues to sort out. Outside Natalie and Shayne discuss the fight from the night before, and it turns out the "really hurtful things" that he said to her were that he "hated her" and that she was the "worst thing that has ever happened to him". As Shayne throws a tantrum on the lawn, Natalie says she feels that she really "made the right decision for herself" and she is going to feel even better about that decision when she watches the series and sees Shayne having a breakdown at the bachelor party because he couldn't hit a ball.
