The sequel will feature the return of screenwriters Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen, who are hoping to repeat the surprise success of the original. Grimes was most recently in the news for his addition to the shortlist of male leads for Roland Emmerich’s Singularity. Taken 2 hits theaters on October 5th, 2012.

Variety also reported on Sloane’s role to accompany Keaton on his crime spree in Penthouse North. The film, recently picked up by Dimension, stars Monaghan as a blind photojournalist who happens to have “a fortune in stolen diamonds hidden in her penthouse apartment.” Sloane will play Chad, who acts the part of helpful stranger in order to glean necessary information about his mark. But all does not go well for Chad, as he finds his life in danger and must rely on his sadistic boss (Keaton) to save him. Joseph Ruben (Sleeping with the Enemy) is directing from a David Loughery (Obsessed) script.

Finally, Deadline reported on the addition of Ferrara to 7500. The pic centers on a collection of passengers on an international flight who experience strange events after the mysterious death of a passenger. 7500 also stars Christian Serratos (The Twilight Saga) and Scout Taylor-Compton (Halloween).
