Filming on the long-delayed Mad Max: Fury Road finally wrapped several weeks ago, and now we might have our first look at the eponymous road-warrior.  In the new movie, Mad Max Rockatansky (Tom Hardy) gets caught up with a group of people fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by the Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron).  Although George Miller, who directed the previous Mad Max movies, has returned for the fourth installment, we don't know if the new film is a sequel or a reboot.  The leather outfit may be considered a little outdated (although this set photo from Bleeding Cool showed Hardy rocking the leather pants), so perhaps this is Mad Max for the 21st century?

Here's the official synopsis for Mad Max: Fury Road:

According to Miller, “Mad Max is caught up with a group of people fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by the Imperator Furiosa. This movie is an account of the Road War which follows. It is based on the Word Burgers of the History Men and eyewitness accounts of those who survived.”
