A new Mad Max: Fury Road international trailer has landed online, and this remains one of my most anticipated movies of the year. It also looks like it has the potential to be the flat-out craziest film of 2015, which is even more nuts considering it’s a big studio movie. The follow-up/reboot finds George Miller returning to the director’s chair and staging an entire movie built around one chase scene. Yes, Miller previously confirmed that Fury Road is one long car chase, and given how nuts the footage looks, I think we’re all in for one hell of a ride.

I still don’t know if Tom Hardy is supposed to be playing the same Mad Max we saw in the previous films (ie. Mel Gibson's Max) or if it’s a rebooted version and, honestly, I don’t care. Everything about this looks great, and even if nobody in the film spoke at all, I think I’d be happy with just the insane practical stunts, colorful explosions, and inventive makeup design. Fury Road, get here now please.

Here's the official synopsis for Mad Max: Fury Road:

Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone.  Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa.  They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken.  Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.
