In the debut edition of Limited Paper, we named Mark Englert as our first-ever âThing Worth Getting Excited Aboutâ, pointing to his outstanding posters for The Thing, Stephen Kingâs It, and The Walking Dead as proof of his awesomeness. Well, itâs now a few months later, and it appears that we werenât the only ones getting excited by Markâs work: just today, Mondo announced their first-ever collaboration with Englertâ¦and from the looks of it, itâs going to be a doozy.Want to see Mark Englertâs Back to the Future poster? Mondoâs latest Adventure Time poster? Meet me after the jump, my fellow poster nerds.Holy crap. Thatâs all I can say. Rather than starting things off with two or three paragraphs of nonsense, letâs just get right down to it, and take a look at whatâs got us so excited today:

- Features Glow-in-The-Dark inks

Thatâs right: weâve been waiting for it forever, and now itâs finally happenedâone of Limited Paperâs all-time favorite artists, Mark Englert, has finally been picked up by the fine folks at Mondo to produce a poster. The fact that theyâve brought him on for the latest installment of their Back to The Future series is justâ¦words fail us.
Obviously, Markâs come a long way in the past few months, and Limited Paper continues to be in awe of his success.  Not that we had anything to do with this pairing, but we are feeling extremely proud of Englertâs progress, and are thrilled to see him joining the Mondo family. His Back to The Future prints seem to combine the absolute best of his abilitiesâthe landscape-style, the glow-in-the-dark-inks, the easter eggs (look out for the âLone Pine Mallâ there in the corner)âand have resulted in something truly special his first time out. This is pretty amazing stuff, andâ¦well, good luck to anyone attempting to snag one of these tomorrow. The competitionâs going to be fierce.
But, wait, thatâs not all Mondo has headed our way tomorrow afternoon! Hereâs the latest in their Adventure Time series (a series that mustâat this pointâhave more posters in it than any other series Mondoâs ever done: true or false? Maybe Star Wars had more?):
- Adventure Time:Â The Creeps by JJ Harrison
- 24x36â
- $40 edition of 225
- Adventure Time:Â The Creeps by JJ Harrison
- 24x36â
- $65 variant edition of 90
Wow. So, in case youâre unawares, JJ Harrisonâs the artist who did that still-in-high-demand "My Neighbor Jake" giclee back during Mondoâs Adventure Time gallery show. That printâs still incredibly hard to find, and this one looks like itâs going to be in high-demand for Adventure Time collectors, as well.
Things have been relatively quiet on the Mondo front lately, but itâs looking like all thatâs about to change: not only is this quartet of amazing new prints dropping tomorrow, but Mondoâs also got another full-blown gallery show opening this Friday (weâll have a walking tour video from that show, along with interviews in our Friday writeup from the showâs frontlines), a slew of great new prints dropping during Fantastic Festâ¦and some other pretty incredible things on the horizon soon thereafter. Better get your wallets in fighting shape, folks: we think the next few months are going to good-lookingâ¦but brutal.
