Just before "Star Wars Celebration" kicks off in London Friday, July 15th, Star Wars: Episode VIII stars Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley have wrapped. While this obviously frees them up to attend the event (which we will be covering extensively), it also suggests that the bigger scenes and interactions between these two Force-attuned characters have been shot and are now awaiting Rian Johnson's edits and final touches. Good timing, too, not just for the big event this weekend, but since Star Wars: Episode VIII is expected to wrap completely next week.
As those of you (ie. everyone) who saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens remember, Rey (Ridley) and Luke (Hamill) met up for the briefest of moments in the very last scene of that film, and the next installment will presumably pick up where we left off. The fate of Finn (John Boyega) is a little murkier, but since Boyega also shared some wrap-party celebration, I think it's safe to say he's done as well. Check out all the various posts below:
On July 10th, Boyega tweeted the following:

And even more recently, Ridley posted this farewell image as well:
And that is a wrap on Star Wars Episode VIII. My heart is brimming. #reyout A photo posted by @daisyridley on
