The Marvel Cinematic Universe has a straightforward formula when it comes to storytelling, the hero wins, and the villain loses. Audiences are given origin stories and a more intricate look into the hero’s life and the lessons they learn. The villain will sometimes be used as a plot device that allows the hero to utilize their superior morals and strength.Related:Every 2021 Superhero Movie Ranked, According To IMDbOccasionally, fans are introduced to a villain that shows a spark of humanity. They might have made the wrong choices, or there is a deeper quality that reveals they are not such a bad person, just misunderstood. We’ve seen it throughout Loki’s existence in the MCU. Fans have grown to appreciate him as a mischievous anti-hero. Agatha Harkness from WandaVision is another villain coming to Disey+ with her own spinoff. Maybe there are other villains who deserve a chance as the main character.

Hela

Thor and Loki have starred as the Asgardian who saved the day in multiple movies throughout the MCU franchise. It would be interesting to get some back story on the estranged Asgardian sister, Hela.

Originally played by Cate Blanchett in Thor: Ragnarok, we only see the character through the lens of the villain, but in the movie, she explains that she is much more. A TV show or movie starring Hela could even give fans a more in-depth view of where Thor and Loki came from, and how Asgard came to be known as a place of peace rather than destruction.

Nebula and Gamora

Split Image of Nebula and Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy

The adopted daughters of Thanos would be perfect for a spinoff. A story of two unlikely sisters as they navigate being raised by the cruelest villain in the known universe. While Gamora strayed from her life as a villain, her roots were born from evil. She and Nebula were able to rise above their evil tendencies on many occasions and prove themselves as anti-heroes within the franchise.

They both have been referenced and appeared so many times throughout the Marvel films, giving them their own feature at this point seems like a logical way to continue the stories of many Marvel characters. And bringing back Karen Gillan and Zoe Saldana to reprise their roles could be all the reason to watch this spinoff.

Dreykov

Probably the most mysterious villain to come around in the MCU. He is the leader of the Red Room where they would train girls to become assassins known as Black Widows. He has a complex history that has been touched on in the new Black Widow movie and referenced a few times in previous films, but it would be interesting to see him get his own movie or even tv show.

Making him the star would also allow fans to get a deeper idea of the other characters in the Black Widow movie, and their role within the MCU as a whole.

The Mandarin/Trevor Slattery

While not a traditional villain, audiences have already seen Trevor Slattery in Iron Man 3, Shang-chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and his own short 'All Hail the King'. While Slattery playing himself in the Marvel Universe is mostly a playful joke, it would be even more hilarious if he was given a spinoff.

He could traverse the Marvel universe causing problems for the heroes in humorous ways. This may also give fans a fresh perspective of heroes within the multiverse, and shed some light on how Slattery ended up in the universe in the first place.

Thanos

Fans did get a small glimpse into Thanos’ life in The Avengers films, but an entire movie or show dedicated to Thanos would be huge. Of course, fans would love to see Thanos return to the screen but would finally be able to see him in a new light.

We could get a better idea of his home-world Titan, and his origin as an Eternal. There is so much deep history of Thanos that has gone untouched by the MCU and maybe revealing something deeper about the character is the revival fans need. Thanos is a Marvel Cinematic villain that truely needs a solo movie.

Kingpin

He has now shown up in two separate Marvel installments, and one wasn’t even within the Disney/Marvel canon. He’s already proved to viewers what a complex backstory he has. Kingpin may deserve his own film or show based on what we’ve already seen.

Vincent D’Onofrio has done an amazing job portraying the character, there’s no question he would be fantastic in a Kingpin spinoff. It’s unknown if his character will return to Hawkeye, but it would be great to see a Wilson Fisk feature.

Kang

Kang the Conqueror from Loki

While he will most likely be a focus in the second season of Loki, a little more backstory on Kang couldn’t hurt. A feature starring Kang may also give a better picture of how the TVA and its agents came into existence.

Jonathan Majors plays Kang in the Loki show, but it was never explicitly stated that he is the villain Kang the Conqueror, only a variant of him. So, a spinoff show could dive into the history of He Who Remains and give fans a better picture of his role in the Marvel Universe.

Yondu Udonta

Image of Yondu from Guardians of the Galaxy

Yondu won the audience’s hearts in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 with his naive humor and his paternal attachment to Peter Quill. He was a complex character who had the capacity for ferocity as well as kindness. His eventual death came as an unexpected upset at the end of the second Guardians film.

A Yondu origin story of how he and Star-Lord connected could be just what fans need to ease the pain of his loss. And it's no question that many fans would be excited to see Michael Rooker return as the character.
