Fresh off the full-length trailer debut, Paramount Pictures has released a large batch of new Men, Women & Children images from Up in the Air and Young Adult director Jason Reitman’s new film.  The drama follows the loosely connected stories of a group of teenagers and their parents as they attempt to navigate life in the digital age.  I saw the film at TIFF and thought it was excellent.  It’s an incredibly dark snapshot of humanity and the ways in which we interact with one another, and it marks a solid step forward in Reitman’s increasingly unpredictable filmography.  The story takes place in a Texas town, and the local high school is the link that connects the various storylines.  These new images reveal the cast of characters, including Ansel Elgort and Kaitlyn Dever’s young loners, Adam Sandler and Rosemarie DeWitt’s disillusioned married couple, and Dean Norris’ single father.

Here’s the official synopsis for Men, Women & Children:

MEN, WOMEN & CHILDREN follows the story of a group of high school teenagers and their parents as they attempt to navigate the many ways the internet has changed their relationships, their communication, their self-image, and their love lives. The film attempts to stare down social issues such as video game culture, anorexia, infidelity, fame hunting, and the proliferation of illicit material on the internet. As each character and each relationship is tested, we are shown the variety of roads people choose – some tragic, some hopeful – as it becomes clear that no one is immune to this enormous social change that has come through our phones, our tablets, and our computers.
