Hands down, this has got to be one of the best episodes of the entire series — and it’s got the ratings to prove it. Though this was a goodbye, it gave viewers all they could ask for in a series finale. This exciting yet bittersweet moment featured Mike and Molly with their loved ones as they await the new addition to their family. Introducing their adopted baby to the rest of the gang allows them to reminisce and plan for the future. It's in that August gathering that Molly drops some good news — she’s got a bun in the oven!

2. Dennis's Birthday (Season 2, Episode 2)

With two potent plots in this one, it’s both relatable and humorous in more ways than one. On one end, Molly has reached her limit with Mike’s apartment practically falling apart around them. Naturally, she asks him to move in with her, but he’s got a reservation or two. Meanwhile, Mike’s mum, Peggy (Rondi Reed), plans a birthday party for her boyfriend with a heck of a gift in the works. In a twist of events, it turns out to be his last birthday. Not all is lost, as the unfortunate event causes Mike to rethink his stance on moving in with Molly.

3. Baby, Please Don't Go (Season 6, Episode 9)

One of the great things about Mike & Molly is the show’s ability to hit quite close to home while leaving room for some laughs. At this point, it’s already been established that Mike and Molly had been trying for a baby and not making any progress. In that light, it makes sense that Molly would invite Frannie (Juliette Goglia), a former student, into her home after finding out she’s destitute — and pregnant. After the attempt to mend the bridge with her family fails horribly, Frannie decides to put her baby up for adoption. Molly instantly jumps on that boat, offering to take the baby.

4. The Wreck of the Vincent Moranto (Season 6, Episode 8)

The closest thing Mike has to a father figure on the show is Vincent “Vince” Moranto (Louis Mustillo). Though the two were never peas in a pod, they eventually bonded over a rusted old boat they repurposed together. The promise of more male bonding while sailing the boat took their relationship to new heights.

Unfortunately, for one reason or the other, Vince ends up selling the boat without informing Mike. This resurrects the ghost of disappointments past in relation to Mike’s complicated relationship with his dad. As much as a downer as that is, it makes for a heartwarming scene when Mike and Vince finally work things out.

5. Victoria Can't Drive (Season 2, Episode 13)

This is one of those episodes where the twists and turns keep piling up. At the forefront, Mike invited his father to his wedding — naturally, Peggy was infuriated. His bid to uninvite his dad somehow complicates issues further, which ends up leaving him in a foul mood as well.

As if that’s not enough, fate takes things to the next level: his future sister-in-law, Victoria, is apprehended for several driving violations. Guess who’s stuck driving her around; yes, it’s Mike. Yet, in the true spirit of silver linings, Victoria ends up sorting out the “Mike’s dad can’t come to the wedding” situation by showing Peggy another side of things.

Here Molly discovers an alarming truth about her husband — he hasn’t been to the doctor in over 10 years. After a round of nagging, Mike agrees to go to a doctor. But alas! He doesn’t show up for the appointment. Fortunately, Molly knows him a little better than he knows himself and sees right through his ruse.

7. The First and Last Ride-Along (Season 4, Episode 2)

As Molly continues to find her footing as a writer, she decides that writing a crime novel is the next viable step to take. Luckily for her, she has a husband who’s a cop, which basically translates to a front-row seat to the world of crime. With that in mind, she tags along with Mike and Carl (Reno Wilson) as part of the research for her new book.

It’s not all she thought it would be, and even worse, Peggy is quite vocal about how lowly she thinks of Molly’s writing career. All’s well that ends well, right? Later on in the episode, she finally gets to enact her revenge on Peggy — criminal style.

At the end of their respective shifts, it's evident that they are the perfect pair. However, with that hatchet buried, another is about to be exhumed.

Molly and Peggy managed to look beyond their differences and write a book together. The only issue is that Peggy refuses to help with the promotion by showing up for the NPR interviews.

9. Vince Takes a Bath (Season 3, Episode 2)

After finally making it to the altar and eventually basking in post-nuptial bliss, it's time for Mike and Molly to get cracking at those thank-you notes. While trying to sort that out, Vince hurts his back and needs extra special care. It's no surprise that Mike's boozy mother-in-law Joyce (Swoosie Kurtz) is suddenly AWOL. With that inconvenient development, it's up to Mike and Molly to wait on him hand and foot until he’s better. Molly somehow gets the shorter end of that stick and gets into some pretty uncomfortable situations while taking care of Vince.

By now, Mike and Molly’s desire to have a baby is quite central to the overall storyline, and in this episode, they decide to take things a step further. Now trying the adoption route, the couple is all set for their mandatory house visit — or are they? With a family as dysfunctional as theirs, Molly is more than worried that things will go wrong.

On that note, she lays down the law and practically turns everyone into robots in time for the house visit. Do things go according to plan on the day? Of course not. But the agency sees something in them and puts them on the waiting list anyway.

11. The Dice Lady Cometh (Season 4, Episode 16)

Here’s an interesting one that delves into the couple’s lives in their separate elements. On one end, there’s Molly, who’s letting her hair down for the weekend as she heads over to a riverboat casino with the girls. However, she’s not just there to have a good time; she’s looking to score some sweet cash while she’s at it.

Back at home, it's "Mike and Vince" time. The pair have made it their mission to enjoy a game of college basketball. However, the guys come over to watch TV, which adds a few twists to what should have been a straightforward evening.

12. Checkpoint Joyce (Season 5, Episode 10)

Louis Mustillo in Mike and Molly

Mike's out working a shift at a drunk driving point with Carl when Joyce pulls up. Naturally, Mike isn’t looking to arrest her, but she takes things a bit too far by hurling insults at him. Stuck between a rock and a hard place, Mike has to arrest Joyce — and as expected, she doesn’t take it too well.

Things don't get better when she gets home, either. Joyce is super-defensive about her drunk driving charge and lashes out at anyone who tries to talk to her about it. Eventually, in the true Mike & Molly fashion, Joyce and Mike finally get around to burying the hatchet.

13. Valentine's Piggyback (Season 2, Episode 15)

While Carl has his Valentine’s Day plans with Christina (Holly Robinson Peete) all mapped out, Mike springs for a little bit of “nothing.” Apparently, Molly asked him to keep things simple, and he took it in good faith. Luckily for him (or unluckily), Carl speaks woman-ese and points out that she didn’t really mean it. After which, he devises the “brilliant” plan to piggyback on Carl’s romantic evening. In an unfortunate twist of events, the boys can’t make it for the date, which leaves Molly and Christina together to discuss everything — including Mike’s last-minute plans.

14. Cigar Talk (Season 1, Episode 22)

In this episode, Molly suspects that Vince is cheating on her mum, which in turn gets all the girls upset. The whole confusion starts when Joyce plans to attend her high school reunion with Vince on her arm. In turn, Vince lets Mike in on a little secret: he never finished high school. The chain of reaction continues when Mike tells Molly that Vince has a secret, over a cigar. With all the girls upset at him, Vince finally has to cough up the truth.

15. The Good Wife (Season 6, Episode 6)

Though Mike has his own fair share of hatred for the chores, he’s met his match in the Flynn women. As the chores begin to pile up with no one batting an eyelash, Mike decides to “call the house to order.” This rubs Molly in the wrong way, so she decides to teach him a lesson by transforming into the “ideal wife.” She does the cooking, cleaning, laundry, and so much more. However, her plan turns around to bite her in the behind when Mike gets accustomed to being waited on hand and foot.
