MondoCon has been revealing some beautiful posters left and right, and today we’re happy to debut two more that will be on sale for attendees. The first up is a poster for Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds by artist Ken Taylor. Taylor is one of my favorite poster artists, and I can’t decide which version of this poster is better: the regular or the variant (I’m leaning towards the regular because I love his use of red here, but that black-and-white variant is pretty gorgeous too).
We’ve also got a poster for A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors by Jason Edmiston, and I love the tagline he uses. I also like that he’s made a poster that evokes Freddy Kreuger without actually showing Freddy. That’s a tough trick to pull off, but this poster does it wonderfully.
Check out the posters below along with pricing, run, and size info. We’ve also included the previously unveiled original art “Skeksis Castle” by Taylor and “Blackeberg” by Edmiston.
MondoCon runs from October 22 – 23rd, but these posters will be at Edmiston and Taylor’s Mondo Gallery show “Home”, which runs from October 21th - November 5th. The opening reception will be from 7-10PM on October 21st, and is free and open to the public. You do not need a MondoCon wristband to attend.
