Last week, we got the first images from DreamWorks Animation's adaptation of the classic cartoon, Mr. Peabody & Sherman. For those who never watched the series of animated shorts, they centered on a genius dog named Mr. Peabody (voiced in the new movie by Ty Burrell) and his golly-gee companion Sherman (Max Charles) as they traveled through time using the WABAC (pronounced "way back") machine. A U.S. trailer should be due out soon, but in the meantime, the first footage has arrived albeit in a Spanish-language trailer. While the trailer isn't dubbed, it's easy to make out the beats of Peabody adopting Sherman, having a father-son relationship with the boy, Sherman having a rivalry with a female classmate, and this leads to Peabody and Sherman having to travel through time to presumably fix the mistakes created by Sherman and the girl's unapproved time travel. From a visual standpoint, it's nothing special, and of course because this is a DreamWorks Animation movie, there's a requisite fart joke. Hopefully, the English-language version will have better jokes.

Hit the jump to watch the trailer. The film also features the voices of Stephen Colbert, Ariel Winter, Leslie Mann, Stanley Tucci, Allison Janney, Patrick Warburton, and Mel Brooks. Mr. Peabody & Sherman opens in 3D on March 7, 2014.
