Andy Samberg did his best (I really enjoyed "Cool Guys Don't Look at Explosions" and "Doubt" for the Sega Genesis) but nothing can stop MTV from making sure it's the most vapid station on cable (and that's saying something). But middle-school girls must have been pleased that the hours they spent voting over and over again for "Twilight" really paid off with awards no one cares about. They also got a look at the teaser trailer for "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" where the defenseless girl is now protected by a werewolf instead of a vampire. It's gonna be a completely different film.

MTV also showed off some clips from upcoming summer movies which we've included below. Check them out after the jump.

TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN

The scene features Sam and Mikayla hiding from a shitload of decipticons. I'm sure they won't be found until...oh no! Insectdecpticon!

It had a tiny satellite dish! But from this clip alone, this is definitely a film I'd be willing to shell out money for in IMAX (Real IMAX; not fake IMAX).

GI JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA

This looks so terrible. I can't wait. I keep seeing "Team America 2"

every time I look at this film. If there's anything akin to "Valemorphisize", I will support this film to no end. In this clip, the Joes wear horribly CGI suits to chase after Storm Shadow (who keeps shirukens up his sleeve which has to be really uncomfortable) and Baronness plan to shoot a Mountain Dew rocket at the Eiffel Tower. But be warned: you'll have to bring your own XBOX 360 controller if you want to play along.

HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE

This is the big set-up for what the film is all about: showing us Voldemort's past via the memories in the pensieve. This particular memory is Dumbledore's first meeting with Lil' Voldemort. Of course, he wasn't known as "Lil' Voldemort" at the time. He was Tom Riddle although "Lil' Voldemort" would be a better name.
