Netflix has released the first trailer for the upcoming comedy Murder Mystery, which is technically a new Adam Sandler Netflix movie, but actually hails from different creative partners than the folks who made forgettable Sandler Netflix films like The Ridiculous Six and The Do-Over. This original comedy boasts a screenplay by Zodiac and The Amazing Spider-Man writer James Vanderbilt and was directed by Workaholics alum Kyle Newacheck, who also helmed the Netflix comedy Game Over, Man.

In Murder Mystery, Sandler and Jennifer Aniston play a married couple who take a European vacation, only to get invited to the Super Yacht of an elderly billionaire after a chance meeting. When the billionaire turns up dead, Sandler and Aniston arise as the prime suspects and must then go on the run.

While the different creative partners and premise here sound promising, unfortunately this trailer is rather disappointing. It looks like a comedic riff on an Agatha Christie novel (complete with a Poirot parody), but with all the subtlety of the worst Sandler movies. What’s all the more frustrating is we know Sandler can be funny, and Aniston has tremendous comedic chops, but this debut trailer doesn’t inspire a ton of confidence.

Check out the Murder Mystery trailer below. The film also stars Luke Evans, Gemma Arterton, Luis Gerardo Mendez, and Terrance Stamp. Murder Mystery will be released on Netflix on June 14th.

Here’s the official synopsis for Murder Mystery:

When an NYC cop (Adam Sandler) finally takes his wife (Jennifer Aniston) on a long promised European trip, a chance meeting on the flight gets them invited to an intimate family gathering on the Super Yacht of elderly billionaire Malcolm Quince. When Quince is murdered, they become the prime suspects in a modern day whodunit. MURDER MYSTERY reunites Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston along with an ensemble cast of global talent.
