Do you want a great way to break in Comic-Con HQ, the new subscription video-on-demand service that has grown out of the immensely popular San Diego Comic-Con? Well you can't do much better than Con Man, a web series lovingly crafted by the handsome and hilarious team of Alan Tudyk, Nathan Fillion, and P.J. Haarsma. If you're not caught up on the show, which follows a pair of actors during their lives after the cancellation of a now-cult-favorite sci-fi series (sound familiar?), you're in luck because Season 1 will be exclusively available on Comic-Con HQ upon launch later this summer.

Even better news? The streaming provider has backed production of Season 2, which will debut later this year. That season will follow Tudyk's character Wray as he attempts to push his career into leading-man status while keeping his positive street cred with his loyal fans. Fillion also returns along with what's expected to be quite a few familiar faces, if Season 1 is any indication.

The platform’s beta launch will occur on Saturday, May 7th, Free Comic Book Day. As a bonus, fans who join Comic-Con HQ during the first two weeks of beta launch will be entered to win an all-expenses paid trip to San Diego Comic-Con 2016. For more details and to sign up for free beta access, visit Comic-ConHQ.com

About CON MAN:

Loosely based on Alan Tudyk’s and Nathan Fillion’s experiences starring in Firefly, Con Man centers on the post-show life of Wray Nerely (Tudyk), the co-star of “Spectrum,” a sci-fi TV series canceled before its time that later became a cult classic beloved by fans. Wray’s best friend, Jack Moore (Fillion) starred as the series’ Captain and has gone on to become a major celebrity, while Wray continues to struggle to find his big break. While Jack enjoys the life of an A-lister, Wray is the begrudging guest of sci-fi conventions, comic book store appearances and different pop culture events. The series explores these events and all the crazy and real things that happen behind the scenes in the world of fandom.
