On the heels of its first premiere-week victory in over a decade, NBC, full of joie de vivre, has rewarded three of its new series -- the post-apocalyptic drama Revolution, controversial comedy (controversial that it is a comedy) The New Normal and the Matthew Perry starring vehicle Go On -- with full-season orders.

Despite some critical (and viewer) questions about the J.J. Abrams-produced Revolution and the latest Ryan Murphy creation The New NormalGo On at least seems to be a quiet success for the network.  NBC appears to have a lot of confidence in all three of the series, which may or may not be warranted as they continue (the full-season order is particularly good news for Revolution, which has been taking its sweet time in proving itself as worthy television so far).  For more on the praise NBC has been heaping on the series, hit the jump.

According to TV Line, NBC entertainment president Jennifer Salke said in a statement,

"We’re impressed with the imagination and creative direction of the entire team on Revolution, not to mention the immediately strong response we got from the audience.  We’re also very proud of our new comedy block of Go On and The New Normal.”

NBC has been playing catch-up with its broadcast brethren for a number of years, with CBS setting the bar for critically acclaimed dramas, and ABC keeping a stronghold on its two nights of excellent comedy series, which replaced what used to be NBC's "Must-See TV."

It's a vote of confidence the network can share with viewers, too, who might be shy to commit to new series that won't stick around for long.  For Revolution in particular, it may give the series time to cultivate its audience as it's given time to slowly unfold its complicated storylines.

Revolution airs Monday nights at 10pm EST, Go On and The New Normal air in a block that begins at 9pm EST.
