Netflix has just released a new trailer and poster for the new Cliff Beasts 6: The Battle For Everest: Memories of a Requiem, teasing a particularly ridiculous and Jurassic adventure which may or may not be real. The film is set to be released at the start of this April exclusively to Netflix.

The new trailer sets us up for a chilling and extreme adventure as a group of adventurers make their way up a steep mountainside, only for their work to be interrupted by dinosaurs of all things. The new trailer, like the film's title, is filled with a whole swath of inconsistencies. From the fact of this film being the sixth installment of a series that has no, non-fictional predecessors, to the mismatch in tone at the core of the trailer, there is something, well, going on here beyond the surface.

That something may be that the film itself does not exist, at least in the way that the trailer portrays. The project is currently listed as The Bubble on IMDb, and is described as a meta-comedy that follows a group of actors and film-makers in a COVID-19 pandemic bubble as they attempt to make a big budget franchise film (think Jurassic Park or Cliff Beasts 1-5). It can only be assumed that the released trailer is the project that the characters within The Bubble are working on, and to great and frightening effect.

The films, both Cliff Beasts 6 and The Bubble, have an all-star cast, including Leslie Mann, David Duchovny, Karen Gillan, Pedro Pascal, Keegan-Michael Key, Iris Apatow, and Fred Armisen among others. It is not known what exact roles they will play, however, based on the arsenal of comedic talent included in the film, there is no doubt that whatever roles they take, they will create one of the most entertaining comedic meta-comedy ensembles since the 2013 film This Is The End, which starred many of the most influential comedic voices of the time.

The Bubble or, ahem, Cliff Beasts 6 comes from Judd Apatow, who has previously created such comedy classics as Knocked Up. Apatow wrote the film alongside Pam Brady, who previously worked on the cult comedy film Hamlet 2, a film that follows an Arizona theater teacher as he pushes to create a sequel to one of the most iconic pieces of English literature. In addition to writing the film, Apatow also directed and produced the project under the Apatow Productions Company alongside Barry Mendel.

The film will be released, most aptly, on April 1, and will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix. Check out the Cliff Beasts 6 trailer below:
