If you're a fan of Netflix's Emmy-nominated animated series BoJack Horseman, we have some good news! The streaming content giant has ordered a new animated series from BoJack's producer/production designer Lisa Hanawalt, one that aims to focus on a pair of feathered female friends. Dubbed Tuca & Bertie, the new comedy centers on "the friendship between two 30-year-old bird women who live in the same apartment building: Tuca, a cocky, care-free toucan, and Bertie, an anxious, daydreaming songbird." Girls Trip star Tiffany Haddish is attached to voice Tuca, though Bertie's voice actor has yet to be named.

Netflix has already placed a 10-episode, single-season order for the series. Tuca & Bertie has Hanawalt attached as an executive producer alongside Raphael Bob-Waksberg (BoJack Horseman), Noel Bright (BoJack Horseman, Friends), Steven A. Cohen (BoJack Horseman, Jack & Bobby) and Haddish. The series will be produced by Michael Eisner’s The Tornante Company with animation done by ShadowMachine.

The animation studio has been busy lately, not only with co-producing BoJack Horseman (so you should expect a similar style for Tuca & Bertie), but also with more recent series like Dallas & RoboJeff & Some Aliens, and TBS' upcoming series Final Space. Could we expect a crossover episode in the new series' run?

As for Haddish, following her breakout performance in the smash comedy Girls Trip, she'll next be seen opposite Tracy Morgan on The Last O.G., premiering April 3rd on TBS, and opposite Kevin Hart in Universal Pictures’ Night School, releasing September 28th. The multi-hyphenate has been busy. She's already inked a first-look deal with HBO at the beginning of this year, released her first book, the New York Times Bestselling "The Last Black Unicorn" in December, and released her newest stand-up special Tiffany Haddish: She Ready! on Showtime late last year.

Other upcoming projects for Haddish include Limited Partners, The Oath, The Kitchen, and The Temp, the latter of which she will also executive produce.
