slice Clash of the Titans movie image.jpg

While it may lack Centaur Bronsan, these new images from Clash of the Titans are pretty damn impressive.  They definitely convey an epic scope and there's even a group shot that directly recalls The Fellowship of the Ring.  The image that impressed the hell out of me was a set photo where you can see not only a huge crowd, but the size of the set they're working on.  It's become so common place to just substitute scale with CG, but those gigantic columns are really there.  Seeing stuff like that gives me the feeling that this movie may be kind of great.

Hit the jump to check out all the images along with a brief synopsis.  Clash of the Titans hits theaters on March 26th.

For those just tuning in, here's a brief synopsis:

The ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades, vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades (Ralph Fiennes) before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.
