Co-Publisher of DC Entertainment Jim Lee joins Green Lantern writer Geoff Johns and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola as confirmed guests of this year’s convention. International monster hunter Josh Gates will make an appearance as this year’s first confirmed entertainment guest. Comic enthusiasts will also be able to attend presentation panels with industry speakers, watch short films and scenes from upcoming major motion pictures during scheduled screenings, and peruse dozens of vendors’ collection of action figures and collector’s items.

First held in 2006, the New York Comic Con has grown to become the second largest comic book and pop culture event in the country, with last year’s convention exceeding 105,000 attendants. Customers can purchase both three- and four-day passes through the New York Comic Con website.
