Last week at CinemaCon, I landed a few minutes with Nicholas Hoult on the red carpet before the Warner Bros. presentation. He was in Las Vegas to help promote George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road. As you’ve seen in the trailers, Hoult looks to have undergone a great transformation for the film, and I’m counting the days to seeing the finished film.

During the brief interview he talks about if he’s seen  director Drake Doremus’ Equals, the worst job he’s ever had, if he’s seen the finished version of Mad Max, his reaction to reading the X-Men: Apocalypse script, his thoughts on Hugh Jackman leaving the X-Men franchise, and more.

Here’s what he had to say followed by the time index. Apologies for the sound quality.

Nicholas Hoult:

  • Has he seen Equals?
  • Has he seen the final cut of Mad Max: Fury Road?
  • :50 – What’s the worst job he’s ever had?
  • 1:30 – Has he read the script for X-Men: Apocalypse?
  • 2:00 – What was his reaction learning Hugh Jackman was leaving the X-Men franchise?
  • 2:25 – Reaction after reading the script.
