Production took place on director Jonathan Liebesman’s (Battle: Los Angeles) upcoming Ninja Turtles early last year, but we still have yet to see so much as an official image from that film.  That is poised to change very soon, as producer Galen Walker has revealed on his Facebook (via CS) that the first trailer for the film will debut in front of Captain America: The Winter Soldier when the Marvel film opens on April 4th.  Not much is known about the plot of Ninja Turtles, but the titular turtles are being created using performance capture technology with Alan Ritchson, Pete Ploszek, Jeremy Howard, and Noel Fisher assuming the physical roles.  Produced by Michael Bay, the cast also includes Megan Fox as April O’Neil, William Fichtner as Shredder, Danny Woodburn (Seinfeld) as Splinter, and Will Arnett in an as-yet undisclosed role.

It’ll certainly be interesting to get a first look at this film, especially since we have no idea what kind of tone Liebesman has struck for the comic book adaptation. Ninja Turtles opens in theaters on August 8th.
