If you're still a bit lost with AMC's confoundingly-titled NOS4A2 and wondering why a decrepit-looking Zachary Quinto has beef with Ashleigh Cummings' motorbike-riding Vic McQueen, check out our exclusive promo for the series. The footage spells out the supernatural face-off that drives the series; Quinto's Charlie Manx—a vampire-esque ghoul that abducts children and brings them to his hidden holiday-themed lair, Christmasland—meets his match in McQueen, a young woman who discovers she has the uncanny ability to find lost things. “The girl who finds lost things can find lost children," says Jahkara Smith's Maggie Leigh. "Don’t you see you’ve been chosen?"

I've seen a few episodes of the series and confirm the overall vibe is, in fact, this unsettling. Quinto, especially, is making some truly jarring choices as the otherworldly child predator Charlie Manx, helped a ton by the impressive prosthetic work that occasionally turns him into something ancient and undeniably evil.

NOS4A2 was adapted for the screen from Joe Hill's novel by Fear the Walking Dead executive-producer Jami O’Brien. The series also stars Ebon Moss-BachrachDarby CampVirginia Kull, Olafur Darri Olafsson, Karen Pittman, and Rarmian Newton. You can check out the trailer below, followed by the official synopsis. NOS4A2 premieres Sunday, June 2 on AMC, right after Fear the Walking Dead.

Here is the official synopsis for NOS4A2:

The supernatural horror series NOS4A2, based on Joe Hill’s bestselling novel of the same name, tells the story of Charlie Manx, a seductive immortal who feeds off the souls of children, then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland – an icy, twisted Christmas village of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas Day and unhappiness is against the law. Manx finds his whole world threatened when a young woman in New England discovers she has a dangerous gift.
