Filmmaker Bong Joon-ho’s follow-up film to the excellent Snowpiercer has been highly anticipated for good reason, but the first official image from the movie—titled Okja—should make you that much more excited. Written by Bong Joon-ho and Jon Ronson (Frank), the film is described as a “bold, global adventure” that follows a young girl working to prevent a multi-national company from kidnapping her best friend—a massive animal named Okja.

This first-look image from Okja reveals Tilda Swinton’s Nancy Mirando and Giancarlo Esposit’s Frank Dawson shooting in New York City, both of whom seem like they could certainly be playing characters that work for the aforementioned multi-national company. Subsequent set photos yesterday revealed a very peculiar-looking Jake Gyllenhaal, and with a cast that also includes Paul Dano, Bong Joon-ho has put together one hell of an ensemble that rivals the cast he assembled for Snowpiercer.

Moreover, Okja will avoid the post-production troubles Joon-ho ran into on Snowpiercer where The Weinstein Company wanted to edit his film to make it more commercial. Okja is being made for Netflix, so box office numbers don’t matter—this thing will go wide to all Netflix subscribers at the same time, and given the cast and clout of Joon-ho, one imagines it’ll be a smashing success.

Take a look at the first-look image below. Okaj also stars Sehyun An as the young girl and will premiere globally on Netflix in 2017 with a limited day and date theatrical release in the U.S.
