After raising Old Spice's sales exponentially following his Emmy-nominated spots, Old Spice spokesperson Isaiah Mustafa is taking his manly musk to the silver screen. In an interview with THR, the former NFL wide receiver turned actor announced that he has been cast in the Warner Brothers comedy Horrible Bosses. In regards to the role, Mustafa says:

“It's a smaller role, but who wouldn't want to be in one of these funny, irreverent comedies? The cast is great. I'm playing a cop because I play these authoritative characters well. I don't know exactly who I'm in the scene with -- maybe Jennifer Aniston!”

While this is great news for Mustafa and his career, I must admit this may cause some annoyance on my behalf as people already confuse me for the guy and his being in a mainstream comedy probably isn't going to help matters (Note: this is a complete lie). While Warner Brothers has yet to release an official synopsis, Horrible Bosses revolves around three friends who conspire to murder their loathsome boss and features an ensemble cast including: Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, Jamie Foxx, Kevin Spacey, Colin Farrell, Donald Sutherland, Julie Bowen (Modern Family), SNL's Jason Sudeikis, and Charlie Day (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia). The film is being helmed by Seth Gordon (the excellent King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters) and is currently set for a July 29th, 2011 release.

In addition to starring in Bosses, Mustafa will also be appearing in a guest spot on NBC's Chuck and Tyler Perry's For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When Rainbow is Enuf (I'm going out on a limb and saying I'm not this movie's target audience).
