We’ve got a few new posters to share with you today. Briefly:

  • On the Road—Kristen Stewart, Garrett Hedlund and Viggo Mortensen star in the first feature film adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s classic novel. The film premieres at the Cannes Film Festival, and you can watch the trailer here.
  • Killer Joe—Matthew McConaughey, Emile Hirsch and Juno Temple star in this NC-17-rated story of a brother and sister who hire a contract killer to murder their mother in order to get her insurance policy. The film is currently awaiting a release date. Read Matt’s review here.
  • The Perfect Family—Kathleen Turner stars as a suburban mother and devout Catholic running for the Catholic Woman of the Year title. Jason Ritter and Emily Deschanel also star. The film opens on May 4th.

Here’s the synopsis for On the Road:

Here’s the synopsis for Killer Joe:

When 22 year old drug dealer Chris (Hirsch) has his stash stolen by his mother, he has to come up with six thousand dollars quick or he’s dead. Desperate, he turns to “Killer Joe” (McConaughey) when he finds out that his mother’s life insurance policy is worth $50,000.  Although Joe usually demands cash up front, he finds himself willing to bend the rules in exchange for Chris’ attractive younger sister, Dottie (Temple), who will serve as sexual collateral until the money comes in…if it ever does.
