"Would You Rather" is back! Director Ava DuVernay took on quite the challenge bringing Madeleine L'Engle's A Wrinkle in Time to screen. We're talking about an immortal trio capable of changing form, distant planets, travel by tessering, alien creatures, and so many more unique, out-of-this-world story components. No doubt this was an epic production - a shoot that made DuVernay the first African-American woman to solo-direct a movie with a budget over $100 million - and we're digging into the experience from a different angle - by playing a round of our movie version of the game "Would You Rather."
A Wrinkle in Time stars Storm Reid as Meg Murry, a middle school student struggling to fit in, especially after the disappearance of her father (Chris Pine). But then one day, thanks to a little help from her younger brother Charles Wallace (Deric McCabe), Meg comes to learn that her father might not be gone after all, and that Mrs. Which (Oprah Winfrey), Mrs. Who (Mindy Kaling) and Mrs. Whatsit (Reese Witherspoon) might be able to help her find him.
Check out Reid, Pine, Winfrey, Kaling, Witherspoon and Gugu Mbatha-Raw who plays Meg and Charles Wallace's mother share whether they'd rather cry on cue or sneeze on cue, adapt source material or work on an original story, and so much more in the video interview at the top of this article.
