A new international trailer for Paddington has gone online, and it's a real time-saver by showing the entire movie.  Not just up until the third-act like most trailers that give away too much.  I know the entire arc of the film now, and while it's not surprising, it's rare to see a condensed version of the entire picture.  The story finds the anthropomorphic bear (voiced by Ben Whishaw) alone and lost at Paddington Station, in search of a home.  Soon after he meets a kind family and seems to have found happiness, at least until he catches the eye of a nefarious taxidermist (Nicole Kidman).  The movie seems cute enough for kids as far as CGI-bear antics go, and while it will still open for the holiday season in the U.K., in the U.S. it was kicked out of its plush Christmas Day opening day to the wasteland of January.  Market research shows the American people don't take kindly to bears that wear hats, coats, and galoshes.

Hit the jump to check out the new Paddington trailer.  The film also stars Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Jim Broadbent, Julie Walters, and Peter CapaldiPaddington opens in the U.K. on November 28th and in the U.S. on January 16th.

Here’s the official synopsis for Paddington:

From the beloved novels by Michael Bond and producer David Heyman (HARRY POTTER), PADDINGTON tells the story of the comic misadventures of a young Peruvian bear (voiced by Ben Whishaw) who travels to the city in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone, he begins to realize that city life is not all he had imagined – until he meets the kindly Brown family who read the label around his neck that says “Please look after this bear. Thank you,” and offer him a temporary haven. It looks as though his luck has changed until this rarest of bears catches the eye of a museum taxidermist.
