A couple of days ago we brought you the first trailer for Paramount's Paranormal Activity 2. At that time, Steve acknowledged that the trailer featured a creepy baby in a crib (pretty much a perfect recipe for terror). As it turns out, theater patrons in Texas agree with our sense of horror as Variety is reporting that several theaters in the “Lone-Star State” are pulling the trailer, which was attached to midnight showings of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, after several Eclipse audience members (apparently impervious to the terrifying storytelling which followed the trailer) complained that the trailer was too frightening.

In the wake of the complaints, Variety says that “Cinemark has told Paramount it could pull the trailer from more theaters should there be additional complaints.” I could be wrong, but this seems like the best publicity a horror film could possibly have. In either case, if you missed the trailer that will forever haunt the dreams of Texan Twi-Hards, hit the jump to check it out. Paranormal Activity 2 hits theaters later this year on October 22nd.
