First up from The Wrap is news that Giamatti will join Love & Mercy when he wraps on The Amazing Spider-Man 2.  Giamatti will play Dr. Eugene Landy, the frontman's primary therapist who became excessively entangled in Wilson's private life.  Cusack and Dano will play Wilson at different stages of his life and career.  Scripted by Oren Moverman (The Messenger), the biopic will explore Wilson's battle with mental illness and will highlight the love that kept him alive.  Production is expected to begin this summer.

The Wrap also reports that Coster-Waldau is in talks to play the Egyptian God Horus in Gods of Egypt.  Set in ancient Egypt, the story follows "the god of the sky (Coster-Waldau), who teams up with a human thief and Hathor, the goddess of love, on a magical quest to avenge the death of his father, Osiris."  Coster-Waldau has wrapped the indie drama A Thousand Times Good Night and is currently filming The Other Woman.

Speaking of The Other Woman, THR reports that Johnson is expected to join that particular Cassavetes' comedy.  It centers on Diaz's character, a woman who finds that she is "the other woman" in an affair and then teams with the wife (Leslie Mann) in order to exact revenge on the cheating husband (Coster-Waldau).  Johnson would play Diaz's father, a charming older man who dates women half his age.  The film also stars Kate Upton and Nicky Minaj.
