All the way back in 1980, Paul Reubens appeared in Cheech and Chong's Next Movie as the soon-to-be-famous bowtie-wearing nice guy, Pee-wee Herman. Reubens would go on to star in an HBO special, an Emmy-winning TV series, and two major motion pictures. How his character started out and what he eventually became is a story for another day, because Pee-wee Herman will be returning to the screen in a big way this March in Netflix's Pee-wee's Big Holiday.

Thanks to the first trailer for the streaming giant's upcoming movie, we now know that it will be available for your viewing pleasure starting March 18th at 12:01am PT. It will feature Pee-wee Herman going on his first-ever holiday vacation after a serendipitous meeting with a stranger. Fret not, we'll still get a peek inside Pee-wee's child-like funhouse that's chock full of gadgets and gizmos galore. After that, it looks like he's hitting the road, and who knows what will happen to him as he ventures out into the great wide world.

In Pee-wee's Big Holiday, a fateful meeting with a mysterious stranger inspires Pee-wee Herman to take his first-ever holiday in this epic story of friendship and destiny. The film stars Pee-wee Herman, Joe Manganiello (True BloodMagic Mike XXL), Jessica Pohly (Stalker), Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development) and Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), and was directed by John Lee (Wonder ShowzenPee-wee’s Big Holiday). Paul Reubens and Paul Rust (LoveArrested Development) wrote the film, that was produced by Reubens and Judd Apatow (TrainwreckBridesmaids).
