An international trailer has been released for Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.  The follow-up finds Percy (Logan Lerman) and his friends venturing to a mythical land known as the Sea of Monsters to retrieve a golden fleece that is essential to the survival of his home and other demigods.  The trailer shows the giant action on display to the point where I'm wondering where a sequel could possibly go.  The villain is the father of the gods, Kronos, with an assist from the previous film's villain, Luke (Jake Abel).  How do you top the father of the gods?  In any event, like the first movie, there's a hodgepodge of Greek mythology that brings in the Cyclops, the Golden Fleece, and other icons.  I'm still not sold on the picture even though this trailer basically gives everything away.  But with new director Thor Freudenthal at the helm and no need to go through the origin story, perhaps the sequel will be far superior to the first film.
