It’s been a rough summer for new movies, so it wouldn’t hurt to check out a classic. Thankfully, Turner Classic Movies and Fathom Events have you covered. Every month, they screen a classic film, and this month it’s Planet of the Apes. If you’ve never been to a TCM/Fathom Event screening, they’re valuable opportunities to see a classic on the big screen. In the past year, I’ve been to The Maltese Falcon and The Ten Commandments, and both were great experiences.

I adore the Planet of the Apes movies, and maybe if this screening is a success, TCM and Fathom could put together a marathon of the original five before next year’s War for the Planet of the Apes. But even if they don’t, you won’t want to miss out on this screening, especially because it has a fun conversation between host Ben Mankiewicz and Dr. Zaius. Here’s a clip:
