Nintendo released a new trailer for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl ahead of its upcoming release later this month. The trailer primarily takes place in the real world, following two kids getting ready to go on a Pokémon journey. It shows them exploring a forest and mountain area, and gives us a look at the game's main legendary Pokémon: Dialga and Palkia.
Throughout the video, we see shots of the game itself, and the narrator explains some of the game's features. This includes exploring a rich landscape, catching many incredible Pokémon, and being a part of the Sinnoh region.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is a remastering of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, which came out in 2007. It is part of the fourth generation Pokémon series, which takes place in the Sinnoh region. Like most of the games in the series, the story centers around a new Pokémon trainer who sets out to collect Pokémon and become the Pokémon League Champion. Through their journey, the trainer must face off against eight Gym Leaders and fight off a crime syndicate known as Team Galactic.
Diamond and Pearl brought several updates to the gameplay, introducing a chance to have double Pokémon battles against wild Pokémon now, and introducing the Global Trade Station, which allows players from all around the world to trade Pokémon using the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. They also revamped the battle system, now categorizing attacks as either physical or special based on how the attack operates, rather than the attack type as it was previously.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are both being released on November 19, 2021, and will be available exclusively on the Switch. You can check out the new trailer below:
