It has been over a year since the new Ahsoka show on Disney+ was announced and fans are patiently waiting to get their hands on any information out there. Rumors and speculation has started bubbling up about a possible release date, but so far early 2022 has been the answer from those working on the show.Related:Upcoming 'Star Wars' Shows: Here's What's Coming Soon to Disney+The only real confirmation any of us have received is that Rosario Dawson will be continuing her portrayal of the mysterious Jedi. But with 'Episode 6' of The Book of Boba Fett revealing even more about her character and many other characters within this time period, fans might be pleasantly surprised when this show finally premiers. That being said, we can only speculate who the cast may be in Ahsoka.

Darth Vader

While Anakin Skywalker died in the end of Return of the Jedi, it's quite possible Darth Vader shows up in one way or another. That could mean a force projection of Anakin or even a vision or memory of a past moment Ahsoka has had with him.

In Star Wars: The Clone Wars Ahsoka and Anakin grow a very close connection as padawan and master. There is also rumors that Hayden Christensen could appear again as Anakin. Fans are sure Darth Vader will be referenced in some way, maybe even just by name at some point in the series.

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Another one of Ahsoka's faithful companions in Clone Wars was Obi-Wan Kenobi. However, with Ahsoka being set around the same time as The Mandalorian, which takes place a few years after Return of the Jedi the chances of Kenobi being a recurring character remain slim.

That's not to say he couldn't show up alongside Anakin/Vader. There are plenty of ways to bring these characters back into the story with flashbacks, force projections, memories even possible resurrection which Anakin tried so hard to achieve for Padme.

Luke Skywalker

Since his appearance in the final episode of The Mandalorian and now in The Book of Boba Fett, fans have been wondering if Disney will attempt yet another CGI rendering of Luke Skywalker. He is the last connection to Vader and Kenobi, two people Ahsoka knew, so it's possible he will help her out in some way.

Also, being the last few Jedi who remain in the galaxy has to come into play in the Ahsoka series somehow. It's a real possiblity we may see Skywalker's green saber light up again in this new series.

Grogu

Being such an integral part of The Mandalorian and now with his appearance in The Book of Boba Fett, baby Yoda will be a key character to each one of these stories. Ahsoka will most likely contribute in his protection and upbringing somehow.

With so few Jedi left in the galaxy Grogu is likely an important character within this new saga of Star Wars stories. It's probably not likely that he will tag along with her on adventures, however, if Luke Skywalker does make an appearance it's possible Grogu will be there too.

Moff Gideon

While he is a major villain within The Mandalorian, Moff Gideon casts a wide shadow over the Star Wars galaxy. He is the leader of a faction of the Galactic Empire searching for any remaining Jedi. His main goal is to destroy the Jedi Order at all costs, which may bring him to Ahsoka.

There could be some crossover as we know Ahsoka will be set in the same time period as The Mandalorian. However, Ahsoka's goals no longer align with the Jedi Order, as we've seen in Star Wars Rebels, so Gideon's appearance may be for other reasons. We can only wait and see.

The Mandalorian

Ahsoka has already been a part of Din Djarin's mission in The Mandalorian 'Chapter 13 The Jedi' by helping unlock Grogu's true power as a Jedi. It's entirely possible he makes another appearance in Ahsoka's story.

While he probably won't be a recurring character, there may be a moment when Ahsoka needs help, and he will be in the right place at the right time. If we can predict anything about what the story of Ahsoka, she may be hunting Grand Admiral Thrawn in search of her friend Ezra Bridger, and The Mandalorian could have some useful information for her.

Cad Bane

Over the many seasons of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Ahsoka crossed paths with Cad Bane many times. He sports a classic western attire, the cowboy hat and duster jacket. His appearance in the recent The Book of Boba Fett episode was a perfect introduction to his sinister, diabolic personality. His presence on the show fits perfectly into the Spaghetti Western style that director John Favreau is recreating, and would convey similarly on Ahsoka.

Not only that, but Cad Bane is a ruthless bounty hunter who has a deep history with the Bounty Hunter's Guild, allowing for many characters to appear including a fan favorite Greef Karga, played by Carl Weathers. He is also connected to the criminal underworld and could have useful information for Ahsoka's mission.

Sabine Wren

At the end of the Star Wars Rebels series, Ahsoka and Sabine Wren have started their search for Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn. If the Ahsoka series were to continue that story line in some way, there is a large possibility that Sabine Wren will be a major role.

It has already been confirmed recently that Natasha Liu Bordizzo will be cast as Sabine in the Ahsoka series. However, there is still no word on what the story line will be, so we'll have to see what her role is in all of this.

Ezra Bridger

Another major character in Star Wars Rebels is Ezra Bridger, who sacrificed himself at the end of the series in the battle to save the planet Lothal. We can expect the Ahsoka series will use much of the content from Rebels and possibly pick up where it left off. Part of Ahsoka's goal is to save her friend Ezra from an unknown fate. \

It's been rumored that Mena Massoud, who was Aladdin the live action remake, will most likely be portraying Ezra Bridger in the Ahsoka series.

Grand Admiral Thrawn

Split Image of Grand Admiral Thrawn and Lars Mikkelsen

One of Ahsoka's mortal enemies is Grand Admiral Thrawn, an Imperial leader who flew off into hyperspace with Ezra Bridger. In The Mandalorian episode 'The Jedi' Ahsoka mentions Thrawn's name to the Magistrate asking where he is. This give us context on where the story for Ahsoka is most likely going, which is Ahsoka continuing her search for her friend and mortal enemy.

Rumors have spread that Lars Mikkelsen, who plays Stregobor in Netflix's The Witcher, will be cast as Grand Admiral Thrawn. So he will most likely be making an appearance to face off with Ahsoka and her friends, hopefully sometime this year.
