Have you ever found yourself wondering what your favorite cartoon characters would look like in real life? Most animated characters have fairly exaggerated characteristics that would make for some truly weird-looking human beings. With that in mind, special makeup effects artist Kevin Kirkpatrick took it upon himself to create prosthetic models of Beavis and Butt-Head in order to see what they would look like in real life. What resulted is the thing nightmares are made of. Seriously, an entire horror movie could be crafted around these two prosthetic characters.

Kirkpatrick is obviously a talented guy, and he's worked on everything from Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides to Steven Spielberg's upcoming Lincoln. As disturbed as I am by these images, I can't help but hope that Kirkpatrick takes on some other famous animated characters next. Imagine how creepy a Kirkpatrick-fied Peter Griffin or Homer Simpson would be. For now, hit the jump to check out Beavis and Butt-Head.
