Rebecca Hall to Lead Joel Edgerton’s Feature Directorial Debut

     November 3, 2014

Joel Edgerton is ready to make the leap to “feature film director”, and he’s got a pretty solid actress lined up to star in his first film.  The Wrap reports that Iron Man 3 and The Town actress Rebecca Hall is set to star in an untitled suspense thriller to be written and directed b Edgerton.  In addition to raising his profile as an actor with roles in films like The Great Gatsby, Warrior, and Animal Kingdom, Edgerton has also been working as a writer on films like Felony and The Rover, and he has two shorts under his belt as a director.

Plot details are under wraps for this contemporary suspense thriller, but Edgerton will also co-star in the film and Blumhouse Productions is onboard to produce.  Filming is scheduled to begin early next year, but you’ll be able to see Edgerton onscreen as an actor next month in Ridley Scott‘s Biblical epic Exodus: Gods and Kings, in which he plays Ramses.
