Into the Storm might not be on your radar, but you should give this natural disaster picture a second look.  Directed by Steven Quale (Final Destination 5), Into the Storm is poised to take fictional storm-chasing to a whole new level.  Since the hit 1996 feature, Twister, technology has advanced so far as to allow amateur and professional storm-chasers alike to document their adrenaline rushes in previously unimaginable ways, while examples of nature's fury have only increased in power and frequency.

Today, we've got three new images from the film starring Richard Armitage, Sarah Wayne Callies, Matt Walsh, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Arlen Escarpeta, Max Deacon, Nathan Kress, Jeremy Sumpter, Kyle Davis, Jon Reep, and Scott Lawrence.  A trailer for Into the Storm, which opens August 8th, should be on the way soon.  Hit the jump to check out the images.

Here are the first images from Into the Storm, after the film's synopsis (via Warner Bros.):

In the span of a single day, the town of Silverton is ravaged by an unprecedented onslaught of tornadoes. The entire town is at the mercy of the erratic and deadly cyclones, even as storm trackers predict the worst is yet to come. Most people seek shelter, while others run towards the vortex, testing how far a storm chaser will go for that once-in-a-lifetime shot. Told through the eyes and lenses of professional storm chasers, thrill-seeking amateurs, and courageous townspeople, “Into the Storm” throws you directly into the eye of the storm to experience Mother Nature at her most extreme.
