First up from Deadline is news that De Niro and Witherspoon are circling The Intern.  De Niro would play the title character in a story that "follows the owner of a successful fashion website who bonds with the elderly intern her company hires."  Meyers was attached to direct when the project was set up at Paramount before it was put into turnaround, and is back again with plans to move forward with another studio.

CS reports that Bosworth and Jane have joined Somnia, "described as being a haunting, emotionally absorbing horror film about an orphaned child whose dreams—and nightmares—manifest physically as he sleeps. The film explores the enduring bonds between parent and child and is punctuated by sequences of intense, visceral terror that only a child’s imagination could conjure."  Jacob Tremblay makes his introduction as the child.  The picture plans to start production this coming Monday.

TORONTO, November 7, 2013 – Paragraph Pictures announced today that Alex Kingston (“E.R.,” “Doctor Who”), Academy Award nominee Peter Firth (“Equus,” “MI-5”) and Tom Cullen (“Downton Abbey,” “Weekend.”) have joined the cast of Joan Carr-Wiggin’s comedy-drama “If You See Her.” The cast joins previously announced Janet Montgomery (“Spies of Warsaw,” “Our Idiot Brother”) and Sara Paxton (“The Innkeepers,” “Aquamarine”) in a film about secrets and weddings, and best friends forever. When Heather (Janet Montgomery) and Sarah Ann (Sara Paxton) were kids they knew they would be best friends forever. But Heather left the small town on the last day of high school vowing never to return. Forced to return when her father (Peter Firth) becomes ill, the cynical young documentary filmmaker is pressured into filming Sarah Ann’s wedding video. Heather is convinced that the anarchist filmmaker and bubbly pink-wearing bride have nothing in common, but as the big day approaches she finds that no one is quite what they seem – especially the old friend she thought she knew better than anyone. Alex Kingston plays Sarah Ann’s mother, a woman with secrets ofher own, and Tom Cullen plays the former teacher both Sarah Ann and Heather find themselves attracted to.

“If You See Her” is being produced by David Gordian for Paragraph Pictures and Alan Latham for U.K.-based Green Screen Productions.

Alex Kingston is represented by Lou Coulson and by Larry Taube at Principal Entertainment; Peter Firth by Jonty Brook at Markham, Froggatt and Irwin; and, Tom Cullen by Ruth Young at United Agents and Andrew Dunlap at WME.
